Please describe what happened. My husband has seed implants for Prostrate Cancer. Because meds made him to drozey Dr elected to leave catheter in over weekend. Went back Monday to have catherter removed, he was dehydrated so scheduled him to come back Wednesday for removal. Tuesday he was very uncomfortable so took him to ER they said it was because catherter was twisted and sent him home. At home trying to get him in house he fell and after a while complained of headaches so call 911. Went back to ER they did CAT scan and said he was ok and to keep appointment next day to have catheter removed, and sent him home again. At 9:30 that night he freaked out, call 911 again and they took him to ER for 3rd time that day. He had a temperature of 105 and was told he had a UTI. After lab tests were run they also said he had Sepsis in his blood and VRE in his urine. After over 3 weeks in hospital and 1 week in Hospice care he passed away March 2,2018. If infections found earlier he may still be alive today.
