Please describe what happened. My daughter was taken to the hospital by ambulance for a herniated disc. She couldn’t move. She was left in the ER for 14 hours, transferred to “Observation” for 48 hours, sent to the “Joint/Spine” unit for one day where she was diagnosed with flu that she had contracted in the ER. Ended up in “Isolation” for 4 days. No rehab facility would take her until her flu was gone. She was finally discharged after 8 days in the hospital to an acute rehab facility for further back care. The flu, which she got in the hospital, significantly prolonged her hospital stay.
