Ed Hollingsworth
Ed Hollingsworth became interested in patient advocacy after the death of his father-in-law from preventable medical harm. He promotes the issue of informed consent after he himself was the victim of drugging without consent at a San Diego area hospital. Ed has testified about patient safety issues before the Medical Board of California, and has attended numerous patient summits to increase his knowledge of advocacy. Ed has a BA in Drama with minors in Social Science and Mathematics from the University of California, at Irvine and a MFA from United States International University.
In Oct 2020, Ed passed away from cancer – his work and support of PSAN is fondly remembered and appreciated.
